China Imposes Harsher Counter-Sanction Measures

The Chinese government has issued regulations that extend the reach of the 2021 Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law created in response to U.S. restrictions on China, SCMP reports.

Under the law, “any person or entity found to have implemented discriminatory measures against Chinese entities or citizens may be placed on an anti-sanctions list.” However, the new regulations, released by the State Council, China's cabinet, include 22 provisions aimed at strengthening the law’s implementation.
