Beijing promotes free flow of ordinary data for foreign-invested enterprises

Main contents: Where a foreign-invested enterprise participates in the formulation of local standards, it may, if qualified, apply for funding support (Article 22).

Beijing shall implement systems for the security assessment of overseas1 transfers of data by foreign-invested enterprises, certification of personal information protection, record filing of standard contracts for the overseas transfer of personal information, etc. in accordance with the law. The municipal cyberspace administration shall, in conjunction with relevant departments and in keeping with the state line, formulate specific measures to establish a green channel for qualified foreign-invested enterprises to efficiently conduct security assessments of the overseas transfer of key data and personal information, and draw up a list of ordinary data that can flow unimpeded so as to promote the free flow of data in a secure and orderly manner (Article 31).
