Only marketing authorization holders or qualified pharmaceutical dealers may sell pharmaceuticals online

Main contents:       Where the online sale of pharmaceuticals is engaged in, the doer of the same shall be a marketing authorization holder or pharmaceutical dealer with the capacity to ensure the security of its online pharmaceutical sales (Article 7).

An online pharmaceutical seller shall operate by its approved operating method and in accordance with its approved scope of business. Where an online pharmaceutical seller is a marketing authorization holder, it may sell only those pharmaceuticals for which it has secured a pharmaceutical registration certificate. Where pharmaceutical retail sale qualifications have not been secured, pharmaceuticals may not be sold to individuals.

Pharmaceuticals, such as vaccines, blood products, narcotic drugs, psychotropic drugs, toxic drugs for medical use, radioactive drugs and pharmaceutical type precursor chemicals, that are subject to special control by the state may not be sold online. The formulation of the specific catalogue therefor shall be arranged by the National Medical Products Administration.
