Crypto-fundraising criminally outlawed; Delisting process to be streamlined and modernized; Controversial anti-spying initiative comes to an end

Crypto-fundraising banned

On February 24, the Supreme People's Court of the PRC promulgated an interpretation of the criminal law on illegal fundraising, Decision on Revising the <Supreme People's Court, Interpretation on Several Issues Concerning the Specific Application of the Law on the Trial of Criminal Cases of Illegal Fund Raising> (关于修改〈最高人民法院关于审理非法集资刑事案件具体应用法律若干问题的解释〉的决定). The new law will take effect from March 1.
