Different types of internet platforms bear different responsibilities

Issued: October 29, 2021

Main contents: The Guidelines set forth detailed requirements for mega platforms from nine perspectives: being a model of fair competition, equal governance, open ecology, data management, internal governance, risk assessment, risk prevention, security audits and promotion of innovation.

While satisfying security and assuring the rights and interests of relevant subjects, a mega platform operator shall promote interoperability between the services it provides and those provided by other platform operators. In the absence of a legitimate and reasonable reason, a mega platform operator shall facilitate access to its services by other qualified operators and users.
