Restrictions on establishment of entertainment venues are relaxed for foreign investment

Main contents: Foreign investors are permitted to establish entertainment venues in China in accordance with the law and the restriction on the investment percentage of foreign investors is abolished. A foreign investor wishing to apply to engage in entertainment venue business activities is required to submit an application to the provincial-level culture and tourism administrative department, and the application materials, establishment conditions and procedures are identical to those for Chinese investors. For the investment and establishment of entertainment venues in mainland China by investors from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan, matters shall be handled with reference to the Circular (Article 1).
