Hong Kong Stock Exchange mulling stricter ESG standards for issuers
The Hong Kong bourse is proposing to strengthen corporate governance standards with a focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards. On April 16, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) published a consultation paper outlining proposed enhancements to its Corporate Governance Code and related amendments to its Listing Rules. The deadline for submitting feedback for the consultation is June 18.
