FTSE Russell proposes Xiaomi index re-inclusion

FTSE Russell has proposed the re-inclusion of Xiaomi Corp. in its indexes after a U.S. court suspended the U.S. government's ban on investments in the Chinese smartphone giant. On Mar. 15, the global index provider announced that Xiaomi will be eligible for re-inclusion in its indexes from June 21, following the Mar. 12 decision by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to grant a preliminary injunction against Xiaomi's designation as a Communist Chinese military company (CCMC).
