PBOC defines market dominance for non-bank payment institutions

Issued: January 20, 2021

Main contents: Where any of the following circumstances apply to (a) non-bank payment institution(s), the People's Bank of China may consult with the State Council's anti-monopoly law enforcement authority to take measures, such as calling it in for a talk, etc., to sound a warning.

(1)        the market share of one non-bank payment institution in the non-bank payment service market reaches one-third;
