The Trump administration aggressively introduced new rules and amended existing rules to clamp down on Chinese access to U.S. technology, primarily through export controls and sanctions, throughout 2020. Wendy Wysong and Ali Burney discuss the impact of different lists compiled by the U.S. government on Chinese companies, the heightened focus on companies linked to the Chinese military, as well as the business community's response.
