Online insurance business may use social media marketing

Issued: September 28, 2020

Applicability: For the purposes of these Measures, the term "online insurance business" refers to the insurance business activities whereby an insurance institution concludes insurance contracts and provide insurance services via the internet (Article 2).

For the purposes of these Measures, the term "online insurance marketing publicity" means the commercial publicity and promotional activities carried out by an insurance institution for its insurance products or insurance services by means of internet media such as websites, web pages and internet apps in the form of text, images, audio, videos or otherwise (Article 15).
