Trump issues executive orders banning transactions with WeChat, TikTok

President Trump has laid out plans to prohibit U.S. transactions with Chinese mobile applications WeChat and TikTok. On Aug. 6, President Trump issued executive orders restricting transactions involving persons and property subject to U.S. jurisdiction with Chinese technology giants Tencent and ByteDance, WeChat and TikTok's respective parent companies.
