Main contents: When an App operator collects and uses personal information, it may not collect personal information that is not pertinent to the service it provides. When it collects personal information it shall use an everyday, easily understood and simple method to display its rules for the collection and use of personal information, and require the voluntary consent of the personal information subject; and it may not use means such as implicit consent, bundling, and halting of installation and use to compel authorization by users in a disguised manner. It shall be proposed to App operators that when pushing news, current and political affairs, advertisements, etc., an option for users to refuse such pushing shall be provided (Article 1).
An assessment shall be conducted of the privacy policies of, and the collection and use of personal information by, Apps that have a large number of users and those that have an intimate connection with people's livelihood (Article 2).
App operators are encouraged to voluntarily obtain security certification for App personal information, and search engines, App stores, etc. are encouraged to clearly mark and recommend on a priority basis Apps that have been certified (Article 5).
