Main contents: Foreign investors are encouraged to take equity stakes in domestic futures dealers, and the participation of foreign organisations in the merger and restructuring of domestic futures companies in accordance with the law is supported. The provision of transaction settlement services by futures companies for participation in the domestic futures market by foreign organisations is supported. The engagement in qualified foreign institutional investor (QFII) and renminbi qualified foreign institutional investor (RQFII) business by the overseas subsidiaries of futures dealers is supported. The scope of participation by QFIIs and RQFIIs in futures and derivatives trading is expanded. The establishment and acquisition of companies overseas by futures dealers to provide ancillary financial services for domestic enterprises “going global” is supported. A pilot project for futures companies to participate in overseas futures trading on behalf of real domestic enterprises is launched. Cooperation of futures dealers with foreign organisations to expand the scope of services to foreign markets is supported (Article 5). The engagement by futures dealers in over-the-counter trading of derivatives such as options, forwards and swaps is supported (Article 6).
