When the Law comes into effect on July 1 2013, the work-type residence permits of foreigners will be valid from 90 days to five years while the non-work-type residence permits will be valid from 180 days to five years.

(Adopted at the 27th Session of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress on June 30 2012 and effective as of July 1 2013.)
