China Banking Regulatory Commission, Measures for the Capital Administration of Commercial Banks (Trial Implementation)

中国银行业监督管理委员会商业银行资本管理办法 (试行)

The Measures, called the Chinese version of the Basel III accord, require important banks to have capital adequacy ratio not lower than 11.5% and the other banks to have the ratio not lower than 10.5%. The Measures will be effective from January 1 next year.

Listed insurance companies and insurance group companies are allowed to offer subordinated convertible bonds.
