    US firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett is launching a new Hong Kong practice with the addition of partners Celia Lam and Christopher Wong.

    Corporate finance specialist Lam joins from the Hong Kong office of Linklaters, where she was its joint Greater China managing partner. Wong joins from the Hong Kong office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and he specialises in corporate finance, with a particular focus on matters involving Chinese entitities. Both partners will start at Simspon Thacher this fall, though an exact date has not been set.
