    China Datang Corporation Renewable Power (China Datang) has launched its Hong Kong initial public offering (IPO) and Rule 144A/Regulation S global offering. The issuer, China's second largest wind power producer, raised HK$5 billion (US$643 million).

    The joint bookrunners and joint lead managers were UBS, China Everbright Securities, Cinda International Capital, Credit Suisse, JP Morgan Securities and Macquarie Capital Securities.

    A Beijing and Shanghai-based Clifford Chance team, led by Tim Wang and Jean Thio, advised China Datang. The joint bookrunners and joint lead managers were represented by a Herbert Smith team on Hong Kong and US law aspects.The lead partners were Kevin Roy and Gary Lock.
