China New Town Development Company (CNTD) has become a dual-listed company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE) by way of introduction. A Chinese non state-owned new town developer, CNTD has been a listed company on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading since November 2007.
This is the first time for a PRC new town developer and one of the few BVI-incorporated companies to be listed in Hong Kong.
A Latham & Watkins team advised sponsor Standard Chartered Securities on Hong Kong law. Michael Liu, William Woo and Eugene Lee led the team from the Hong Kong office. King & Wood was PRC counsel to the sponsor. Representing the issuer include Woo Kwan Lee & Lo as to Hong Kong law, Jingtian & Gongcheng on PRC law, WongPartnership on Singapore law, and Appleby on the offshore side.
