Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton welcomes corporate finance specialist Freeman Chan as a partner in its Hong Kong office. He will start at the firm in early 2011 and joins from Norton Rose, where he led its China corporate finance practice.
Chan will help Cleary Gottlieb launch its Hong Kong law practice in early 2011. He has over two decades of experience working with issuer and underwriter clients in a range of Hong Kong capital markets and corporate transactions. He is a member of the Takeovers and Mergers Panel of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
