    China Forestry Holdings has made a Rule 144A/Regulation S offering of senior notes on the Singapore Stock Exchange. This US$300 million high yield offering consists of 7.75 percent senior notes due 2015. Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UBS Bank were the underwriters on the transaction.

    China Forestry is forest plantation operator in China with forests located in Sichuan and Yunnan. This Hong Kong-listed company is invested in by private equity groups, the Carlyle Group and Partners Group.

    Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe advised the issuer on US and Hong Kong law. Hong Kong-based Mark Lee, Edwin Luk and Michelle Taylor led the team. Commerce & Finance Law Offices was PRC counsel to China Forestry while Conyers Dill & Pearman was the offshore legal adviser. O'Melveny & Myers and Jiayuan Law Firm were US counsel and PRC counsel to the initial purchasers respectively.
