NC2 Global has entered into a joint venture agreement with Anhui Jianghuai Automobile (JAC). The joint venture corporation will be based in Hefei and have a registered capital of over Rmb1.2 billion (US$180 million). It will develop, manufacture and sell trucks and truck parts in China and to other markets, and additionally will look to establish its own research and development centre in the Mainland.
NC2 Global is a 50/50 joint venture between Navistar International and Caterpillar that was established in September 2009.
A Beijing-based Baker & McKenzie team, led by Barbara Li and Beatrice Schaffrath, advised NC2 Global. JAC was represented by Anhui An Tai Da Law Firm.
