Bank of China has acquired a 20% stake in La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild, a provider of private banking, asset management and advisory services in Europe. This is the first strategic investment deal to be made between a Chinese and a Eurozone bank.
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer advised La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild, while Allen & Overy advised Bank of China.
