US Private equity fund company steps up to make investment in China

Warburg Pincus has made an Rmb530 million investment in Beijing Tianyu, a mobile phone manufacturer in the PRC. The two companies have already signed a memorandum of understanding to forge a partnership in Beijing.

Commerce & Finance Law Offices advised Warburg Pincus on PRC law, while Jun He Law Offices acted as counsel to the company. Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker also advised on this deal. The Paul Hastings team was led by Maurice Hoo, working with Phoebus Chu and Connie Cheung.
