The joint venture is between Areva T&D and Beijing Yuli Lian Ou High-Voltage Electric Equipment, Guangzhou LeeKeen Group and Wuxi Hengchi Electrical Apparatus. The arrangement aims help all parties increase their China market share in the area of electricity supply, specifically the manufacturing and supply of disconnectors.
Both Guangdong Teamwin Law Firm and Gide Loyrette Nouel advised on this deal. Gide Loyrette Nouel's China Team assisted Areva T&D on the entire contractual process, including the drafting and negotiation of the joint venture agreements as well as technology license agreements. The team was led by partner David Boitout in Shanghai, with assistance from senior associates Zheng Yu in Beijing and Renaud Rossa in Shanghai.
