Baker & McKenzie's offices and member firms in Asia-Pacific were cited for a total of six International Tax Review Asia Tax Awards 2007 for their tax practice groups. The awards included: Asian Tax Controversy Firm of the Year, Hong Kong Tax Firm of the Year, Hong Kong Tax Controversy Firm of the Year, Taiwan Tax Controversy Firm of the Year, Japan Tax Controversy Firm of the Year, and Malaysia Tax Firm of the Year.
The firm also won the Asia-Pacific Intellectual Property [IP] Firm of 2007 award at the fourth annual Asialaw IP Awards, while its Hong Kong and Vietnam offices won the “IP Firm of the Year” award in their respective jurisdictions. This is the fourth consecutive year that Baker & McKenzie has won these regional and country awards.
