After 14 years of long debate, China finally has its first Anti-monopoly Law(反垄断法). The law was passed in September of 2007 and will go into effect on August 1 2008. It will affect some of the world's largest IP owners who have strong market positions in China, but it also has several wider impacts on IP in China generally.
