International business leaders say Hong Kong is one of the least-corrupt places in Asia to do business, according to a study released by the Hong Kong-based Political and Economic Risk Consultancy (PERC). Hong Kong ranked as Asia's second-least corrupt economy in the poll; Singapore was once again ranked as the least corrupt.
Mainland China, on the other hand, landed squarely in the middle of the 13 countries ranked in the poll, taking the seventh-least corrupt position behind Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Taiwan and Malaysia. The Philippines was called the most corrupt of the economies in the poll.
