International law firm DLA Piper has recently announced a commitment to an environmentally-friendly business plan, which it calls a global sustainability initiative.
The initiative, launched across all 62 of DLA Piper's offices in 24 countries on January 29 2007, involves such activities as hosting forums on sustainable development in China, donations to conservation organizations, evaluating business operations and setting annual targets and objectives to be audited using an accredited system. For necessary air travel, emissions are offset by purchasing carbon credits as part of annual carbon reduction targets and broader conservation measures.
