Main contents: Liaoning Province is added to the Catalogue for Foreign Investment in the Dominant Industries of the Central and Western Regions. Foreign-invested projects of this Catalogue will enjoy the preferential policies for foreign-invested projects of the Encouraged Category. Foreign-invested projects under development complying with the provisions of this Catalogue may be handled in accordance with relevant policies of this Catalogue. The Catalogue has a total of 20 items, including: processing and integrated use of oil shale, magnesium and zircon (the Chinese party holding a relative controlling interest); using large-scale equipment and technology (at least 600,000 tonnes per year) to produce such products as methanol with coal as raw materials; manufacturing of automobile parts, components and assemblies; medical institutions in which a foreign party holding a controlling interest is permitted subject to approval; and the projects for the construction and operation of an urban network of pipelines for a centralized supply of heat, gas and water, as well as for centralized waste water in which a foreign party holding a controlling interest is permitted subject to approval.
