Main contents: The Circular states that the registration jurisdiction of branches and sub-branches of foreign-invested enterprises, branches of foreign banks and sub-branches of the Chinese branches of foreign insurance companies that are examined and approved by such departments as the Ministry of Commerce, China Banking Regulatory Commission, China Securities Regulatory Commission and China Insurance Regulatory Commission, and their local offices, shall be delegated to the authorized bureau of the place where the place of business of such (sub-)branch is located. Where the place of business is located in a provincial capital, the registration jurisdiction shall, in principle, be delegated to the authorized administration for industry and commerce of the provincial capital.
