The Procedures raises the employment criteria for arbitrators.

Main content: The revised Procedures raise the employment criteria for arbitrators (Article 3). The basic requirement for arbitrators engaging in legal education and research shall be professors and researchers. For those engaging in economic and trade activities, they shall have university undergraduate degrees, with a title of chief or deputy chief, or of a director level. The employment criteria for arbitrators from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and those with foreign nationality are also clarified.
