Main contents: The Provisions provide that the printing business operators shall set up a series of control systems in respect of printing, including verification and recording of printing, keeping and delivery of printed matters and destruction of defective items (Article 3). When undertaking printing matters, printing business operators shall verify the certifications of the principals, such as printing or publication approval, trademark registration or licensing contract, business licence, etc., and keep copies for government inspection for two years (Articles 7 and 16). The Provisions set out various requirements for printing books, periodicals, newspapers, internal information, religious internal information, overseas publications, registered trademarks, advertising materials, packaging materials, permits, vouchers, passes, certificates and driver's licences (Part Two).
