Applicability: The Regulations apply to injuries from work-related accidents or occupational diseases happening before the implementation of the Regulations but not yet recognized (Article 64).
Main contents: These Regulations govern insurance for workers who have been injured in a work-related accident or afflicted with an occupational disease (Article 1). Enterprises in the PRC will be required to purchase insurance for their workers (Articles 2). Parts Three and Four cover the recognition of a work-related injury and evaluation of work ability. Finally, the Regulations lay out in detail the kind of treatment and compensation that the worker will receive for their injury, which may include medical equipment and living expenses under certain circumstances (Part Five).
