A New Platform for Foreign Logistics Service Providers in China

On June 20 2002, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) issued the Notice on Issues Related to the Launch of Pilot Projects for the Establishment of Foreign-Invested Logistics Enterprises (the New FIE Logistics Notice). This notice, which formally entered into force on July 20 2002, provides a new and potentially attractive vehicle for foreign logistics service providers seeking to engage in their long-frustrated goal
