Main contents: The Guidelines set out the scope of the contents to be included in the annual reports of securities companies (Part Two to Part Nine). The annual reports shall be submitted electronically and by hard copy and Sino-foreign joint securities companies shall comply with any additional provisions applicable to them in respect of annual reports (Article 9). It is also provided that the financial report contained in an annual report must be audited by an accounting firm with securities and futures business qualifications, and that the audit report must be signed by at least two registered accountants with securities and futures business qualifications (Article 5). The audit opinion of the accountants must be disclosed in full in the financial report without modification or deletions, and the company is required to provide a copy of, or communicate the annual report formally submitted to CSRC to its accountants (Article 6). The Guidelines also contain, in the form of an attachment, the general provisions for preparation of notes to financial statements of securities companies.
