Main contents: The Measures state that technology listed under the prohibition category or the restriction category of the Technology Prohibited or Restricted from Import by China Catalogue is prohibited or restricted from import (Articles 2 & 3). Import of technology restricted from import is subject to trade and technology examinations (Article 6). Trade examination mainly checks whether the import of technology complies with the State's foreign trade policy and obligations promised by the State to other countries or places (Article 7). Technology examination concerns such matters as whether the import poses a threat to State security or social public interest, whether it will do harm to human life or health and whether it complies with State industrial policies and economic and social development strategies (Article 8).
