Telecommunications Regulatory Bureau of Ministry of Information Industry, Trial Use of Mobile Telephones Standards

Main contents: The manufacturer applies to the Telecommunications Equipment Network Connection Administration Centre for the execution of a test trial by a technical body recognized by the Telecommunications Regulatory Bureau of Ministry of Information Industry; at least ten units of each model are tested for up to three months (Article 2). Trial conditions (listed in Article 3) include usage frequency of at least 10 calls per day (Item One), testing with different mobile telecommunications operators and 80% of the mainstream manufactured base stations (Item Two), and usage at low and high speeds of displacement (Item Four). The testing body submits its report within 10 days of the completion of the trial (Article 5). The report must contain manufacturer and product details (Item One), description of primary capabilities (Item Two), trial location(s) (Item Three), trial results (Item Four) and conclusions on the trial (Item Five).
