Beijing Municipality, Administration of the Recognition of Software Enterprises and the Registration of Software Products Implementing Measures (Trial Implementation)

Main contents: According to the Measures, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission is in charge of the work of recognizing software enterprises and registering software products in Beijing (Article 3). The actual organization work in this regard is handled by software enterprise recognition institutions, which are examined and recommended by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and authorized by the Ministry of Information Industry (Article 4). An enterprise engaged in software development, software production, system integration, application services and other related technical services may apply to a software enterprise recognition institution for recognition as a software enterprise pursuant to the Measures (Article 5). Such application is first reviewed by the software enterprise recognition institution and then approved by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission (Article 8). The recognized status is subject to annual review (Article 9). For registration of a software product, the producer or developer shall apply to a software enterprise recognition institution pursuant to the Measures (Article 15). Such registration is valid for five years and may be extended (Article 13).
