Main contents: The Circular stipulates that the Chinese title of imported audio and/or video products should be the literal translation of the original or if there are changes to the original name, the Chinese name should correctly summarize or reflect the contents of the original work (Item One). Re-recording of the works of overseas copyright owners should be examined and obtain the approval of the Ministry of Culture before publishing and distribution. The name or the image of the performers or producers of such original works is not allowed to be used for the cover or in the body of the audio and/or video products (Item Two). The Circular also lays down the stipulations for submitting imported works of popular music, films and television dramas for examination (Item Three).
