Applicability: The Provisions apply to software enterprises and integrated circuit enterprises recognized in accordance with the State Council and other regulations. These enterprises shall also enjoy incentives provided in the State Council, Encouraging the Development of the Software and Integrated Circuit Industries Several Policies in addition to incentives provided in national and municipal policies to support the development of the new and high technology industry (Article 2).
Main contents: Part Two of the Provisions applies to both the software industry and the integrated circuit design industry (Article 29). The Provisions state the financial assistance to be provided by the municipal government, favourable enterprise income tax policies, policies on the import of software and software technology for development and re-export, policies on visits abroad by personnel, and policies on training. Part Three states the policies on the integrated circuit manufacturing industry, and Part Four policies on the integrated circuit design industry.
